Easy Animated Glitter with PSP 8
This is a very simple tutorial that even the newest newbie can create effortlessly. We're going to make an animated glitter in a few easy steps.
Open a new raster image 70 x 70, transparent. (See image)

For this tutorial we're going to use a pattern to flood fill our image. (You can use color and draw dots on it ... which I will go into in the 2nd half of this tutorial -- coming soon! ;o)
I am using this "silvercanvas" image. which you can download and use by clicking here. Save it to your "patterns" folder in psp and then locate it in your patterns area of psp by looking (alphabetically) for silvercanvas.pspimage.
Once you've floodfilled it, right click on your first layer in your layer palette and choose "duplicate"

With the duplicate layer active, go to image --> rotate --> flip.

Now go to adjust (psp8) or effects (psp7) and sharpen.
Duplicate your new layer, by right clicking and selecting "duplicate"
Again, go to image --> rotate and this time choose mirror.
Again, go to either adjust or effects and choose sharpen.
Save your image, (don't merge) and open up animation shop
You should have a good looking glitter there ;o) If you followed this tutorial using the supplied pattern and instructions ... you've got a glitter that looks like this:

Now just save it ;o) Pretty simple!
This tutorial was created using Jasc's Paint Shop Pro version 8 but can be easily adjusted to work in Paint Shop Pro 7. If you'd like to download a copy of Paint Shop Pro you can do so here:
If you want to work with a color instead of the pattern, just draw dots and lines and squiggleys on your colored square in a small paintbrush ... like 1 or 2. Once you're happy with it, just duplicate it as we did above and when finished, pull it into animation shop and you're all set. You can adjust the frame speed if you like. For glitters, I believe 1/10th of a second works best.
